Green Key, the international quality mark for sustainability

Green Key is the international quality mark for sustainable companies in the recreation / leisure sector and the business market. Companies with a Green Key quality mark do everything they can to save the environment, without sacrificing comfort and quality for their guests. They go a step further than required by normal legislation and regulations.

Making business operations more sustainable
A Green Key accommodation is designed to be economical with energy and water by the use of solar panels, light sensors and timers for air conditioning and heating. No more washing is done than necessary and environmentally friendly cleaning products are used. These sustainable measures do not only improve the comfort of the guests, but are also good for nature and the environment.

Daylight
The Green Key participant makes optimal use of the available daylight. Reducing the use of artificial light in buildings during the day reduces energy consumption and is also good for our biological clock. At times of sufficient daylight, the artificial light can be (partially) switched off in those places. Switching and/or dimming the light depending on daylight can contribute to this.
